could be lots of things. Are teh plug wells dry? or are they full of oil.

Inspect your new wires and make ABSOLUTE sure you didn't tear the insulation around any of the wires while installnig them.

Be sure to check the ground point on the back of the intake manifold. The rear support bracket is actually the ground point for the DIS module, so make sure the crossover tube is secure and the rear left support bracket has the ground properly attached.

If you have a guage, be sure to check your fuel pressure. Could be a completely unrelated issue that happened to pop up at this time.

Testing IGN GND:

Make sure the crossover tube that the DIS is mounted to has clean mounting surfaces and is securely bolted down. This is also part of the ignition ground system in addition to the heavy strap and stud at the #1 cylinder. The strap should mount to its stud on the firewall completing its ground path. Make certain that BOTH lower DIS module mounting screws are correctly installed.

Testing IGN GND:

Ignition off. With an ohmmeter, measure from the lowest pin on the forward-facing DIS connector to the battery's negative post. You should have as close to zero ohms as possible. The service manual allows up to five ohms, but I'd shoot for less than one ohm.

Did you replace the sparkplug wires that were most likely damaged while immersed in the oil?
