Running Rough

The car is running a little rough (sounds like a grovely noise) throughout the entire RPM range. Another way to describe it would be: it is like a lifetime smoker's voice, there is deep sounding, slight rumble, rather than a smooth flowing sound upon acceleration. There are no codes, 60K was done earlier this summer, 02 sensors are new 1.5 yrs ago (about 15-18K miles), I checked the vapor wires, cleaned my air filter today, ran fuel treatment through tank (in case it was a tank of bad gas), and replaced my fuel filter. I am at a loss here, any advice/thoughts would be helpful.

Hmmm...thats a tough one. I know my friends sho had bad injectors, but it only sputtered sometimes and not through the whole powerband. I see you have a cai, have you checked to se how clean your maf is? Man that is weird becuz youve had a 60k. Sounds like a sensor is off. How does it idle? Smooth, how does the car compare at wot and under normal accel?

The car always has this problem. At Idle it is harder to hear, but any acceleration part or WOT it is noticable. Another thing, power feels about 90%. Almost all there but just not quite right.

As far as the MAF sensor, I will have to pick up some circuit cleaner and clean it, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Is your exaust in good shape? Does your car have any electricle issues? Have you done any recent mods or repairs? Maybe you could go to a smog shop and have them run a pretest to see if your engine is breathing ok?

Exhaust is fine, all new a year ago. I don't know of any electrical issues. I recently put in the D4U1 and LPM, but this problem was there before and after that installation.

Man that is weird. Is there any possibilty it could be something other then the engine??? If i were you id take it and have a pretest smog done, you wont have to pay for it and itll tell you whats coming out of your engine. Make sure alll that fuel is being burnt. Hows your gas mileage? Maybe this could be a smog device problem. Do you have egr/pcv?

I certainly will have that smog test done if this problem continues throught the weekend. I have the EGR system: intake nostrels are clean and all EGR parts are new less that a year ago. I will double check the lines to make sure everything is connected properly. I might also test the O2 sensors just to make sure.

Ya no prob dude. Sry to hear about this cuz this seems to be kinda a bitch to figure out sice you had a tune up already. You sure all your vacuum lines are cool?

I just did a visual inspection of my car: EGR, Vacuum Lines, and all that. They are all in the right spots and hooked up. I guess if there was a clog in one of them???

When i did my 60k i know i had a leak in one of em that connected one of the secondaries, but i didnt feel it really.
