Correction, I gutted the cats. At a stand still If I press in the pedal it stumbles and finds it hard to make it into higher RPM, if I slowly press the pedal in it smoothly makes it to higher RPM. Now while driving, under load and from a stop it fumbles and barely manages to get itself moving and when I have it moving I might try to downshift and lay down the gas, it will surge, power, no power, power, no power. When I say it runs rich I probably was getting 8mpg, and I don't have any leaks or anything.

My buddy thinks two of the injectors are shot.. he has it all pulled apart but I have no idea if that's the real cause and he said at Napa they run $140 a piece... Autozone has them for $99 a piece.. My question is what could the ECT caused to fail as well? When the first symptoms came it struck a cord with the ECT failing and I replaced it and it still ran rich, then it got worse and worse and worse. This car is a headache and I just want to drive or push it off a cliff.

ur car is obviously running rich and the ecm is trying to correct the rich problem by leaning it out.

first and foremost, have u pulled the plugs yet? that would be a good starting point. they will tell u a good amount of info of what each cylinder is doing

yeah my buddy has the SHO with the intake torn off in his garage, and saw the plugs are fouled. I was reading shotimes and it mentioned that if the thermostat is stuck open it will run rich, the part is cheap so I might as well have him replace that while he has it torn open, right?

I was scanning through posts and found one with similar symptoms and I messaged the OP and linked him the video and he said it was the same thing that happened to him when he water in his gas tank, too think of it I did drive it for about a week with less than a 1/4 tank of gas while it was 10-20 degrees out.

Woo, fixed... new O2's didn't fix the problem but they were long over due, It had two stuck injectors and the plugs/wires are replaced. Runs better than ever now.
