This one is an easy one and there is a giant car meet just about every week here.

Something like 40 - 50 cars come every weekend. Most of the rides are not stock and run anything from 14's - 10's
Good thing they are very welcoming to newer people. I just got back from this meet and at first people laughed that a Taurus was pulling in, but they shut up once someone mentioned it was not a slow car.

Anyways, if anyone feels like going to one of these big meets, they happen usually every week so that gives some good time for planning.

Warning: There are a lot of fast Honda's/Acura's. No one is looking for a race, it is just a friendly meet and greet.

So someone come by, hang out, talk, take pics of your cars. It's not that bad...as long as it is warmer out.

What day do they usually have it on? If it's during the week, maybe I can stop by one day after work. I work in Edison.

Sounds like a good time if there alot of cars. Just throw out the date and I will see if I can show up one week. My 89 will be street legal tommorow so I can bring the nice one up. Man I will have to find a way around RT 18 by the NJTP. Too much risk cause people are retarted around that area and the constuction doesnt help.

I think I've passed by a few of these meets, back in the day. I'd go again with some SHO people. Maybe after my coilovers are in. :)

Well like I said, it is usually on the weekends. I'll have to check when the next meet it. More often than not, it is on a friday night.

Well you don't have to come through New Brunswick if that is the problem, the entrance for 18 off the NJTP is right off RT 1. If you can get to 18 from RT 1 then it would be a lot easier.

Yeah definitely try and find some SHO's to go. There are hardly any SHO's in my area so most of the people at these meets are completely oblivious to what they are capable of.

A good night for these meets to happen is usually a friday night when people are getting back from Raceway Park in Englishtown, so if anyone looks up on the website you can pretty much guess when all the track cars will be out...and trust me they like to hang out on RT 18 and street race. I caught 3 races in one night and I wasn't even looking

the honda/acura thing.. sorry but my stomach can olny take so much of them.
other thing was distance.

Haha, yeah it can get quite nauseating especially since most of them have no cats and are running lean as ****.

There are quite a few Nissans, Corvettes, and G35's there. Some nights there will be like 30 Cobra Mustangs. The rice crew (Hondas) don't usually hang out there unless they just came back from the track.

But hey, it happens just about every weekend, and there is another meet on saturday this week so there is plenty of opportunities for some SHO people to come down. Too bad there aren't that many SHO enthusiasts in my area or else I'd have some people there already...half the SHO's I see are old lady's or kids who have no clue what they have under the hood.

yeah i know what you mean... almost everyone in harrisburg here that drives SHO have no clue what they are and never get above 3k rpms so they never get to see what the car is about.. not to mention they are autos and gen 3s haha

I'd make the trip if i knew exactly where it was. How far is it from me? Philly is roughly an hour depending on traffic. O and my exhaust commands respect!;)

It's about an 1 hour and 15 minutes from philly. maybe an extra 15 with traffic as 18 is one **** hole by the NJTP. I live 10 min from philly and work up there when we have jobs up there. I do not know exactly where this is..so maybe he could throw an exact address so people could goggle it or something.

There used to be a few SHO enthusiasts up there back when I was roaming around Rutgers. The ones I knew have since graduated - some are still in the area but not all of us drive SHO's anymore.

So I take it that this place is in N. Jersey. What exit? 7,8,9???

Traffic isn't that hectic after 8:30-9:00. Sure that is a bit late, but these meets usually happen late at night and people end up staying until 2 am.

If you can, try to avoid going through New Brunswick since there is a lot of construction. The NJTP comes out at the Hilton Hotel so that isn't a problem, but for more local folks, try to by pass New Brunswick and go down further until you hit RT 9.

If anyone gets on RT 9, take Ferry Road to RT 18, and get on 18 north. The Sams Club is like 5 miles down that but you end up saving some time and your front end as compared to going through new brunswick

Address is:

290 Highway 18
East Brunswick, NJ 08816

So I take it that this place is in N. Jersey. What exit? 7,8,9???

Exit 9

Hint: If you are going down 18 North and you pass a Dunkin Donuts and Ethan Allens to your right, you have gone too far. The Sams club is right before the Dunkin Donuts.

There is a meet this weekend. Again, lots of cars all coming back from Raceway Park.
If anyone is going to be in the area let me know and I'll get you more info.

The most dangerous time to be on Rt 18 is when pumped up ass hats in their 600hp mustangs and Camaros are coming back from the track on a Friday night. :)

Just leaving Raceway Park and trying not to get rear ended or sideswiped by someone too antsy to hit the open road can be a challenge.

Ahh, the memories...

Raceway Park

I'm going to be at the track in Englishtown on Wednesday after 5pm. I'm going to run the SHO again and let it be known that it is possible to run 15's with a shifter held together by brake clips.

It would be great if some SHO's could join.

No one knows what they are over there;

Announcer: Next up is a Nissan 350z and a Taurus G...no, S...H...O??? Taurus SHO?

I laughed...then ran 16.0:cry:
