Sure thing, I'll recruit someone to record it for me.
I've not been in another SHO with exhaust, but mine has that really deep tone from idle to 2800, and from there up to 3500 it makes a beautiful note... ( I want to say similar to the Jaguar XF 5.0) after 4,000 Rpm... Almost no sound inside the car. I haven't heard my car drive from the outside yet so I will hear it when you do!
I would appreciate it a bunch. If you got a couple pulls inside and outside it would be great. But anything you can provide I will appreciate. Like I said, in the video it sounds the best I've heard. I don't want to order them and find it sounds like some of the others from different cars. Much appreciation for your work/recordings.

UPDATE:

I called the exhaust shop, they said the Aero part # is AR 25.

So..... I went back to their website and Part #AR25 is actually a resonator. Did your shop put these on as mufflers at the rear with exhaust tips on them?

All of their mufflers are a "AT" part number.

Copied & pasted from their site:

Yes they did... I think you can see then in the video, just a few inches behind the tips.

I've been throwing around the idea of replacing my factory resonator with one of these ... No idea how it would sound but I'm very curious!

@OmaHahn. You know Des Moines is only about 2 hours away right?... I've heard they have a good/cheap exhaust shop over there...;)

Ha! There's plenty of shops here in Omaha just trying to find that right combo of exhaust parts. Thanks for your info!

I'm sure like everyone else, eager to hear the drive-by and at different RPMs under load.

Also, did you have these mufflers mocked up to the OEM pipes, or are they something different?

Sorry for the delay, the weather here had been garbage! But tomorrow looks half decent so it shall get recorded.
My mufflers are welded right into factory pipe.
Nothing fancy here.

First I will say thanks for the quick reply as I feared this thread was dead.

Secondly, I'm a little relieved to hear I'm not the only person who sees spending roughly $1,ooo for an exhaust that MIGHT net them a handful of numbers on the dyno as being a bit foolish.

I've contemplated having a local shop weld in mufflers to change the sound...as I'm sure we can all agree, the SHO doesn't much (if any) sound. With the idea of just swapping the cans, it's been fairly hard to find a good example of what they would sound like. Most of the people who went this rout have no cats and/or straight pipes (usually larger diameter) then topped off with something that makes them sound like the bathroom at Taco Bell.

This is a change to all of that. OEM pipes all the way back into different mufflers and it sounds pretty damn good. I currently have the catted down pipes from LMS with zero interest on dropping another grand for maybe 8hp. Not worth it in my mind.

Personally, my SHO is stupid quick for what it is and it's only lacking a little sound when my foot gets heavy. I'm find of the whole 'sleeper' aspect and have ruined the day of multiple people on and off the track.

This is currently on my to-do list and I thank you again for the info. The drive-by video will be the deciding factor.

Yeah I have been watching this thread hoping to hear and update. I also am thinking of just getting new mufflers since a hole catback system and downpipes would be upward of $1200. I just don't see the point in spending that much as Gimpy said for a few HP.

From what I have heard I am liking the sounds of the Danomax Mufflers, and the resonator 13blacksho has. Anyone seen Flowmasters on an ecoboost?

Thank you for the videos. It sounds excellent and I will be placing my order for those mufflers when I pull my car out of storage. Thanks again for getting the videos.

Thank you!
There is an exhaust shop in Des Moines that will cut off your mufflers and mock up everything they have and let you listen to each of them individually… Very hard to beat!

Whats the shops name? I might have to make a trip to DM for a weekend and pay this ship a visit.
