Trying to remove old cables and the one that comes (like)through the fire wall is being very stubbern how the heck do ya get that thing out of there?? also the braket that holds the cables on the trans do you keep that on or get rid of it??

When I did it to a friend's car, I cut the cables and had him pull while I "fed" it to him. The bracket comes off.

If the shift cables are good, DON'T CUT THEM! Someone here on the forum may need them.
