The difference is NIGHT and DAY.
Much shorter throws, and much more accurate.
Best of all, I did it myself :D

Yeah I remember when I got my 90 and it had a rod shifter (my ffirst manual I ever drove). I wondered how a rod felt better than a cable and thought there wasn't much of a diffrence. Then my sister bought a 94 Cavy Z24 the instant I made one shift I KNEW it was a cable shifter, felt so weak, felt like I could take a hold of the rod and pull it right out of the console! I couldn't stand driving the cavy, hope you enjoy the rod shifter and all the power you got backing up those firmer shifts now *envious*

Ill never go back to cable, and im converting my dad's this weekend. It should be a nice surprise for him! haha! He knows i have the extra and he is going to buy it from me but he thinks im too lazy to put it in.
