rod bearings and water pumps...

how often (if ever laughing ) do these become issues?
On the clubgp board, this guy said he was racing a 97 in Cali, doing 120 mph. He said the sho threw a rod while they were racing.
I never heard of gen. 3 rod bearing issues... well not as much as the v6's eek!

The V8 has special bearings that are matched to the crank. here are three sets available and you have to open the motor and see what is stamped inside the crank area to see which ones you need.

These make for a much better fit over the usual type bearings.
