Yestuday while trying to escape a mass amount of snow. The reverse of my car was acting weird. When i floored the gas, i noticed the cars rpms not continueing to go up. Instead the rpms would go to 3k and back to zero rpms.

What is happening? My trans is brand new, does it need some sensor realigned?

I called ford and they had no idea without bringing her in.

just wondering....

Assuming you're driving a genIII sho..... There's a reverse limiter. I found this out while doing some reverse 180's in a wide open area. It won't let you go past a certain rpm, I can't remember what the limit was when I did it.

I find it funny that you called Ford and they didnt even know about the limiter in reverse... Its their car, why wouldn't they know?? Oh wait... Its Ford we are talking about hehe.

Side note:

Wow... i love to have fun in the snow but not with my SHO. In fact, we got 11.5 inches of snow tuesday night/wed. morning and i have not even started it up since then. I use the old 94 Caddy to beat around with in the snow... Killer reverse 1080s hahahaha!
