rev limiter

i know its not good for the car but i was free reving at stop light, and when the rpm hit 4k it was like a revlimiter kicked in, jw if anyone else has them on there cars, mine completly stock, bought it off my gmom about a year ago

All ATX cars have a 4000 RPM rev limiter in Park or Neutral to protect the torque converter from over reving with no load.

Rev limiter is there to protect the tranny from overheating by reving the engine in neutral or park.
