as much as i love the look and the handling of the eibachs on my wife's 98, it just seems to sit TOO low for driving in michigan. now...i'm not running SARC struts, so i was wondering if it'd be okay to cut down some OEM or Moogs to get the car lower than stock but keep it outta the weeds?

i'm running 225-55-16s on mine, and the fronts rub while the back looks tucked when someone's in the back seat.

I have 235/45/18's on my car... but during the winter when I have the stock ones 215/60/16's on the height doesn't change at all....
Well.. the height doesn't change because the redeced rim size is compensated by the extra wheel sidewall height.

Well, I think it's kinda of noted that when you get eibach's, you should probably get bigger rims and smaller tires (or just smaller tires). My brother has stock tires and wheels on his car and the gap doesn't look bad at all. The gap only comes to fruition when you get different tires and wheels (notably 17+ with low pro's)

Can you raise the strut in the knuckle to gain some clearance rather than changing the springs?

i'm already planning to raise the knuckle, but i'm not sure it'll raise things high enough. only seems to be about a half inch or so in the front. where can i get spacers?

In the rear you can get over an inch by raising the struts in the rear.

If you cut down the OEM springs then they will be really sagging as you reduce the load capacity. Might as well put in some slo springs.
