removing trans side cover (AXOD-SHO)

two questions.. forgive my ignorance, i'm really a 5-speed guy.

1)is the gasket for the side cover re-usable?

2)do you have to remove the transmission support brace that runns in front of this cover or can you unbolt it and slide it out the top or bottom.?

You will need to remove the support brace. I am sure that you have enough room to pull the cover with out dropping the subframe a bit.

? Why are you pulling the cover?

I would not reuse that gasket.

thinking about going after the EPC to turn up the line pressure in the tranny. just debating dificulty vs. benefit.

were would i get a new gasket. i'm thinking it's a ford only thing.

nc89 - Fel-Pro should also have a sidepan gasket set available. Unfortunately, I don't have a part number handy ..

Are you referring the pressure riser mod that I listed in the other thread or are you eluding to modifying the EPC solenoid itself?

was talking about the screw you can use to set the psi via the EPC it's self. but i would still like you to reply to my other post.. not sure wich route i will go.
