Hi all,

I want to remove the sideview mirrors on my Gen1 SHO. Does anyone know how to remove just the mirror, or to get access to the back of the mirror itself? I would like to run wiring in there to add a deep blue LED, kind of a backdrop light...

I am unsure of the LED lighting mod...

However, i do know how to remove the light.

It does involve removing the door panel, as you have to get to the connector.
You have to remove the screw (1) that holds the small piece of trim on the door. Then under that you will have 3 bolts (iirc, they are 12mm) remove those while someone holds the mirror so it dosent fall and smack the car(or roll the window down and try to hold it..)
after that all you need to do is locate the connector, which is back behind the speaker (speaker has to come out too, 4 screws) and alittle down-ward. then simply pull the mirror off, but being careful with the cord. You have to kinda guide it out.

repeat in reverse on installation....

This is, if you havent allready done it... :nut:
