Removing Crank Pulley

Timing belt went yesterday on my way up to Boston to see a show.. how convenient. However, on replacing it today, we everything else off, just not the crank pulley. Any recommendations? already used the air wrench and nothin.

Also for those whom have done a timing belt change.. Any other quick advice for a smooth installation?

Pulley Puller......If the bolt is the problem....1/2 drive breaker with a "cheater" bar....hook up the batt. turn key. Works every time ( for me anyway )...

Had the same problem. Tried the bump start with a breaker bar against the frame, used a 3/4" impact, and etc. In the end the only way I got it off was with a impact chisle on the bolt's collar! What happens is the bolt tightens down over time due to it screws in reverse of the engine's rotation. When I got it out the threads were perfect and I was able to reuse the old bolt.

Bump method on first post is the easiest way for an ATX. You can also pull the start and with a helper use a tire tool (or simular prybar) hold the flywheel while using a big breaker bar to loosen the bolt. If you do the bump method it will only work if the breaker bar is positioned where it can travel approx 6 inches or more before impacting the frame. I've done it bothe ways so I know they both will work.
