removing belt tensioner

how do i remove my belt tensioner? its not a reverse tread is it?

It's not on 5spd SHO's if that helps any.

which one? do you mean the timing belt? or acc belt? if its the accesory belt tensioner, then there should be 3 bolts holding the braket in place. however to untension the belt you use a allen wrench. there is a tensioner for each belt(2). i belive the back one is reverse thread you can turn it the same way as the front one to losen the belt.
