Is seems like it would be easier just to completely remove ABS from the picture.

Can't you just plumb new lines from the master cylinder to the correct flex hoses...taking the ABS system completely out of the picture?

ABS is no good anyway.

Why?

While the ABS system might do little in a straight-line, dry pavement panic event - a properly operating ABS system provides considerable braking improvement during panic events where you're trying to steer-around an obstacle while braking, or on wet roads, in loose gravel, non-paved areas (grass), etc.

But probably the biggest benefit, is your vehicle insurance. Antilock braking can result in up to a 10-percent discount.

Well, I gotta get a ring on my drivers side half shaft, and until I get over 25 mph, my ABS is working. There is a BIG difference after the light comes on. Almost feels like twice as much force is applied to the pads. Is that normal?

Eric,
I'm not sure I understand your ABS problem. Which light are you referring to, the ABS light or BRAKE light? Also, by twice as much force, that you get twice the braking effectiveness for the same amount of pedal pressure? How do you know your ABS is working over 25mph?
