Ok heres a question... in order for me to fit a 16g turbo under the hood i will need to remove all the abs crap... and revert it all to standar stuff .... welll im not sure of how to do that... theres likle 78126832 brake lines that hook up to the abs and im only used to 1 line per brake... so what all do i need to do to rid my self of abs?

just get rid of the computer...everything will function as regular non abs(minus the idiot light on the dash). Your turbo should fit in fine. Piping it will be tight regardless, so be creative ;)

been there done that... first thing i did was removed teh abs computer but i need the room Under the computer where the compressor is for teh down pipe/to get more hood clearance since the Inlet of the turbine is on Top of teh turbo so i need to have atleast 3inches of room to fit the up pipe to the turbo. thats my main problem. that and i will need the turbo to be Low enoough to fit the rad hose over it with oout crimping the hose

while i am not an expert on this, i think that the brakes are connected diagonally, fr and RL share pressure as do FL and RR, so you'll need two lines for the front and two to the back.

I guess it is about impossible to remove the actaul ABS sensors from knuckles... You would be better off buying some regular taurus non ABS knuckles probably... There really is not a reason to remove that, just make sure the (if d/c) lines are not going to get caught up any thing, zip tie them to some thing.

Bob, what about moving the battery to the trunk or other side (like the s/c cars) and placing the turbo on the passanger side

no no no hehe im not talking about teh half shafts part of teh abs or any of that stuff im talking about the compressor under the hood on the drivers side with all the lines going to and from it. how the heck do i remove that and still have brakes? i need that extra room to fit the turbo under the hood.

you know man... i have been thinking about doing that... id have to do some messurements and what not but i do think that is a good idea... i mean if you can fit a big blower there then a 16g turbo should fit fine not only that but i may have the room to run the down pipe and ill have no rad hose to be in the way... ill have to keep that in mind and see what i can come up with for a new design.

Yeah, the battery relocation kit is pretty cheap and there is alot of room with nothing in the way. Mine is all cut up to fit the boost pipe and piping to the intercooler as well as the compressor itself.

if the battery fit there, there is no reason your 16 g will not :)

ok i have test fitted the turbo in place of teh batt and came up with 2 problems... ones not really a big deal but the other is...

first problem.. the ac craps in teh way... fix is to remove it :D no problem at all anymore hehe.

problem # 2 is a big problem... the alt is in teh way... is there some kind of alternator relocation bracket?

hmm well if i cant relocate the alt i guess ill have to make a custem o2 houseing to bring the down pipe off the turbo at a diffrent angle instead of str8 down id have it going to the right (drivers side) thats the only otehr thing i can think of.... cutting up cast iron is a pita!

Why not just get the brake line plumbing from an 89? Four wheel discs, no ABS.

actualy i was thinking about ganking the master and what not off my 92 sable (used brake line plumbing=bad hehe id just run new lines no big deal there) but i dunno now that i have test fitted teh turbo where the batt was i am likeing the way all teh plumbing for teh turbo is gonna fit... make the exhaust routing more simple and keeps the intake/ic plumbing far far away from any hot exhaust pipes. but for now all options are open as i dont have everything figured out yet as to wich one would be the best idea.

Do you have some pics of your turbo? I am having problems visualizing why you need the ABS stuff removed. My turbo is a good deal larger, and I have plenty of clearance.

No pics but since you asked ill see if i can get my dude to come over today with his digi cam to take some pics... you see my problem is that the mitsu turbo the inlet for teh hot side faces str8 up and teh down pipe str8 down.... so the down pipe is blocked by the abs system.. and i dont have enough room ontop of the turbo to place the 2.5" up pipe to the turbo with ****** and all. ie the hood wont shut... not only that but with the way id have to place it i would have to rig something up for the rad hose to clear everything. but yeah ill try my best to get some pics today. hopefuly my friend will drive the 20 miles or so out here to take the pics if he is not to busy.

Make a mount to put the alternator where the AC compressor was.

I see what you mean about the turbo...I work on DSMs all the time. Maybe you should change turbos...I can fit my Turbonetics T66 in place of the abs computer and have no problems what-so-ever.

Problem Solved!!!!! :d

I Think i have solved my problem!!!!!! i just turned the turbo 180* on the drivers side and stuffed the down pipe in the inner fender where i had teh intake plumbed before on teh first setup... and it fits!! just need to do a lil more trimming and it will be all good... only down side is the oil return as the line will have to be ran thru the umm... shelf where the abs cpu was and then thru the fake frame (the 1" wide front frame rail) but thats not a big deal really.... i just need some good drill bits now lol... well i hope this works and i want to thank everyone for there help and all teh ideas they shaired with me... :thumb:

-Bob.

One more thing id like to add... im ********... i forgot thato n the mitsu turbos you can rotate the hot side!! doh!! that will help out alot... only problem with that is i would have to move the waste gate actuater (spelling?) along with it :D
