So my car came with a Superchip (as you may have read in my other thread...) I need to know where it is so I can uninstall it and see if my car runs any differently. Can someone tell me where it is and how to get it out of there?

Thanks

Open glove compartment, look towards the top and back, blue rectangle, with motor turned off, should be able to grab and gentle slide out.

+ push in the glovebox tabs so it slides down, then it's easily removed.

Make sure the key for the ignition is in your pocket when removing and installing it.

Thanks.

Car still running the same.. (rough idle, bogs for the first 3 or 4 minutes, off idle hesitation, check engine light throwing lean codes)...

Just another thing I can cross off the list of possibilities, at least.

unplug your maf and see what happens

Alright, I just got back from trying that, here's what happened:

I started the car and let it idle for a bit with the MAF plugged in as normal. Idle was a little rough and surged +/- 50 rpms. Unplugged MAF, settled into smoother 900rpm idle without surging. Plug MAF back in.. back to surging.

I tried taking it for a drive without the MAF plugged in. Seemed to run stronger. With the MAF plugged in I can barely scratch 2nd gear, with it unplugged I got healthy wheelspin.

I will update my other thread with this info...

Maybe the MAF does just need to be cleaned? (or is shot totally..)
