Just wondering if anyone has had any interaction (positive or negative) with shosource.com. I recently bought a shonut reinforced rear motor mount from them that does not fit, not sure why as i dont have accurate measuring equipment. I could not install the mount, neither could my friend nor my mechanic but we could all reinstall the factory mount with ease but shosource insisted that there was no way that there could be anything wrong with the mount. They said that i must send them pictures showing what is wrong with the mount when the mount physically appears fine to the ***** eye. The guy i spoke to was rude and insulting and said i should call shonut directly on the phone number on the website (when there is no number on the website) and conveniently did not have shonuts phone number available and now i'm stuck with what is essentially a 150 dollar plus shipping paperweight. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not really, but you really should e-mail Josh at SHONUT. His reinforced mounts are considered some of the best on the market. If you're having issues, he can help you out.

[email protected]

Also, pics would help us troubleshoot the issue you might be having and get you sorted out.

does the new motor mount closely resemble the old one? is it a front or rear mount? how far off is it? what's not lining up? we need specifics if we're gonna be able to help you. as far as SHOSource, they're one of the only places that sell aftermarket parts for our cars, and the owners/operators are regular posters on this forum.

All the mounts that Josh and SS Sells are the correct ones.. If something does not fit then there could be a assembly problem on the mount that someone missed.. Things happen and people make mistakes..

Knowing Kurt and Mike at SS, I would have to say that they did not directly talk to you like that, I hate to call you a liar but they are some pretty nice guys.

post up pics of the mount and we can see whats wrong with it..

Send your motor mount to me and I'll see if it fits our car.

I will not return it either way.

All reinforced mounts are a bit more tricky to install than stockers, simply because they do not flex as much.

Quite often when replacing a front, or rear MTX mount of my design (one of the methods SHO Source now uses) I find it MUCH easier to loosen the subframe bolts on that side of the car.

Also, just so there is NO mistaking a rear mount for the V6 MTX SHO, here is a pic:

X2

SHOSource guys won't do that to you.

As it was mentioned before, it could be that the new mount is so solid it will take some muscle to move around in order to get the new mount to settle in.

Alan,

All of us (SHO Source and SHOnut) have sent multiple emails and responses to try to resolve the issue. A picture would help immensely. As stated before, brand new reinforced mounts are very stiff. This can make them difficult to install. That said, if something was assembled incorrectly, it could be your problem, but we need to identify the issue to save shipping a mount back for no reason. Mind you, we have never had a misassembled motor mount after hundreds sold.

As another alternative, you could also find another SHO expert in your area to look at the mount and give his or her opinion. Brian (Area91) on the forum is the PA SHO Shop and local authority to you. He could quickly identify any issue and help us resolve the issue.

I am the person you spoke to on the phone. I really see it as the other way around. I spent over 45 minutes with you on the phone trying to resolve the problem and you were completely uncooperative and belligerent on anything I had to say. Mike, Matt, Josh from SHO Nut and myself have requested numerous times for a photograph, even people in the community here are requesting a photograph to try to help you. We got no response. SHO Source and SHO Nut have tried to help you. Mike in this post and me on the phone have suggested you see Brian since he is in your back yard and you have refused to do that. I did not have SHO Nut's number at the time you were on the phone because 98% of the time we correspond it is by e-mail. I really wish the people here could hear your phone message from 7:30AM Sunday morning. It would tell the whole story.

Ordered an expensive clutch from shosource, disc was chipped on arrival. Took a pic, sent it to them, they took care of it.

I've rented and bought a couple things from them also. Always been good sellers imo. :salute:

The ball, as they say, is in your court. You've just had offers for help from some very knowledgeable folks; I suggest you take them up on it.

LOL, Captain First post comes in, dumps on someone that has a GREAT rep here, can't figure it out with a mechanic friend, seems to be exagerating the conversation a bit, I'd tell anyone planning to help him to be careful around all that sillyness, it could wear off on ya.
