Lol I don't know if it's fancy but I definitely won't have a fluid related failure.
One would hope. I am not as crazy as you my friend. However, you are pushing alot harder.

Can someone please tell me what happened when they got a PTU Fluid change at their mechanics? I do not work on my car much.... is the mechanic going to be smart enough to wrap the O2 sensors and Downpipes with aluminum foil while doing the job or should i tell him to myself ??
Hmmm I've changed the fluid twice myself, will be the 3rd time today. I have never wrapped anything. I don't even recall worrying about it or getting a bunch of oil everywhere. Sucking it out theres no mess. I use a hand pump and if anything I get the pump leaking slightly, when full there's a tiny bit of dribble. I even over filled the PTU on purpose to flush out all of my old Royal Purple 75w140 and even then I don't recall a horrible mess requiring much clean up.I would tell them about the aluminum foil honestly.

What's the matter? Pushing too many pencils and that drain plug you speak of
Its like that class you didn't remember signing up for but see it on your itinerary....welp guess I learned something. Probably retain more if that hot substitute teacher was teaching....just saying.Gather around.....for all the people that don't know about the PTU.
You have to use a Mighty Vac (or something similar) to evacuate the fluid in the PTU, all 10-12 SHO's do not have a PTU drain plug. Off the top of my head (IIRC)... non-PP 13+ cars do not have a drain plug either.
13+ PP SHO's have a drain plug that when removed dumps fluid all over the O2 sensor and DP's, hence why we wrap them in foil or make a cardboard channel to keep things clean.
Peasant.

Gotta tell ya, I get a little nervous every time the recommendation is passed on to another member. Not that I have any doubts about the product, just that I want everything to go perfect for them LOL.
I'm in Canada can someone please confirm this is the redline "lightweight" gear oil i need for my PTU and RDU
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/Red-Li...W-140-Synthetic-GL-5-Gear-Oil/PRD1U2AFLS46LFD
It says its 75w140 but dosnt say anywhere that it is "lightweight"
Please confirm.
Thanks!
