Hello all, back for some more wallet destruction discovery.

At the beginning of December, I finally got my car back from a transmission rebuild. One thing I noticed is that the cabin from the get-go smelled like gear oil, but I figured that was likely due to a gear oil covered mechanic sitting in the cabin (and maybe that is genuinely the case). After coming back from Christmas vacation, I noticed dark green, very oily drips on the floor of my garage. I need to do another smell test, but initially it did seem to have a hint of that gear oil smell. Parking it on the street overnight, I noticed a few more drops appear in the morning.

Any ideas on what this could potentially be? So far my best guesses are either A/C oil, or PTU fluid, or maybe a grease used in transmission rebuild. Though I run Redline Lightweight Shockproof in my PTU, and to my understanding unless it's contaminated by maybe winter salt it shouldn't be green (full disclosure, I had a techn fill it for me last time, maybe some old fluid was left behind). Would love to know your thoughts, in the past 3 months I've spent $11k+ on replacing/rebuilding both the RDU and the transmission, and to be quite honest I don't know if my wallet can take much more damage. Desperately hoping this is something small.

Same here, I would suspect gear oil. If from the front, then most likely a leak from the PTU. If in the rear, then RDU would be the likely (and really the only) suspect. A/C oil would be much thinner than that and a brighter green, almost more of a yellow, typically.

Brought it back to the transmission shop, they believe there's a small crack in the PTU vent tube that is the source, the fluid I was seeing I'm fairly sure is some lightly used Redline Lightweight Shockproof.

Yep, they might not have gotten the vent all the way back on. Also the RLWSP is the color that is on your shop towel.
