Anyone have their rear window shade freak out when they put their car in reverse. '13 SHO pp. Just does it 1st time after starting. Other that that the car has been flawless

Are you talking about the tic-a-tock noise when already rolled down and the car is put in reverse? Yes. You can remove the reverse lamp wire from the shade module conector and the noise will stop.

The shade should roll down in reverse as Zpac noted. It doesnt go back up automatically when placed in drive again.

My slams up and down for about 15 seconds too. Sooo frustrating. I want to break that stupid thing off every morning. How the heck do I fix it?

There must be a setting you can change. I've only used mine once or twice just to see if it worked. Otherwise, it is down all of the time.

No settings. The shade module has switched power and ground. The switch in the consol provides a ground input to the shade module. The reverse input is a power from the reverse lamps to the shade module.

You could electronically disconect the module to cease its operation.

The fuse for the module powers some other stuff.

I'm confused. My rear shade never moves unless I manually make it do so via the console switch.

If you have the shade up, when you put the car in reverse it will lower.

That "reverse" input is a spliced power feed from the reverse lamps.

Depending on modle year, the first time the car is put in reverse the shade will calibrate itself and try to close. Any subsequent reverse will not cause a noise. I dont know if the modules logic has changed since 2016. I havent been in a newer car.
