Jason don't waste your time and money on the gentex unless you want the added temperature feature... I snagged one out of a newer (99+?) GM silverado & the compass works awesome and the install is a breeze if you tap into the pwer @ the sunroof if you have one... also has the autodim feature and that surprisingly is very nice too even with my limo tint on back it still helps. I like it so much I bought another one to add to my 91 come spring when it's done with the motor swap and repaint. I'd figure on getting one for no more than $50 from a junkyard, but I could be wrong if they know what they have. shrug 1043859434877 autodim and compass mirror

arent most of the OEM ones out of newer cars made by those Gentex ppl anyway? I was thinking about one, but gotta spend the cash on performance things first.

Does anyone know of ones like the Gentex mirros that mount to the headliner instead? When mine came off it took some glass with it and to mount a new mirror their wont work very well. Thanks.

I believe that Gentex has a patent on the autodimming mirror, and as a result is the only company that makes them. They do the OEM and the aftermarket ones, if you've noticed, they all look exactly the same.
