I'm currently looking for some performance pads for the rear of a 90 SHO.
And as most of you probably know and as I just found out their is almost nothing for this application. I have checked Hawk, EBC and PFC. I don't of any other good brake pad brands.
So is their any other options out their?? If I have to go with cheap pads what are the best out their.
And what would be best for braking metalic, semi-metalic or ceramic?? I'm not worried about noise or dust, just STOPPING.

Semi metallic pads work fine, even on the track. I have been pleased with them on both mine and my father's SHOs. Both on track and off

I have used the AutoZone Duralast (Albany) MKD545 semi-metallic pads on the vented rear rotors on my 1991 for the last 200,000 miles. I just installed the third set of these lifetime warrantied pads for the $19 cost of the initial set. These pads are more than capable of requiring anti-lock on the race course due ot the minimum loading of the rear brakes.
