It seems I bent the hub out a bit too much.

What the heck can I do to fix this? New hub? I don't think a bolt will go through there because of the angle.

J U N K....go get another spindle. The good news is that Slo, Sable, and SHO spindles are identical for the same year. The various plates and brackets may differ, but the base spindle is the same. Even between drum and disc systems. Wagons have a totally different spindle in the rear.

Well that sort of thing happens when you jack out the old strut and it sticks a little and then you go a bit too much.

I admit I was really imparent while doing this, and now, well... I'm paying for it. 4 days I've been at replacing the rear suspension and now I need to find another hub. Most of that time was spent drilling out those ******* pinch bolts.

I'm figuring for future reference a torch for gentle heating of the bolt area would be a good idea. If you're concerned about the "Do not Heat" on the strut, a couple of good wet shop rags would probably work good as a heatsink. Maybe it wouldn't even tranfer too much to the strut even...

I spray this on the strut when I have to heat the pinch area with a torch, so the strut doesn't get very hot and cause issues.
