i know i have heard someone talking about the clunk in the rear of the car. it happens mostly when turning into a driveway/parking lot when it hits a bump in a turn.
There are sway bar bushings at the links (the four round "grommets") and the frame attachments. You will need to check both mounts for wear or play. If this is not the source of the noise, you will have to remove/inspect the struts and upper strut mounts. Are you sure that it is not something in the trunk?
