Hi guys, i'm new here.

I've got my 92 MTX SHO (with ABS) for one year now and noticed a decrease in brake performance lately. Then last month while trying to bleed the rear brakes, I noticed there was NO fluid coming out of the rear calipers. (tested each side, same problem). I lowered the suspension and still there was no oil and the rear brakes do not work at all!

So, next step is to check if the is oil coming in and out of the rear bias block to see if it's working. I did do a little bit of research but didn't found anything about this part becoming defective...

I do know that some peoples install plugs in place of the distribution block, is it to solve that kinds of problem? What are the plugs doing exactly, bypassing the block by connecting the lines together?

Thanks

Mario

From what I have seen around here I'd be willing to bet that your rubber brake lines have collapsed and are restricting flow. Most people find this out when the rear brakes drag and overheat.

Thanks for the advice. I worked on the car tonight and you were partialy right. The distribution block was fine and the problem was the hose.

In fact, not the hose itself but the "clip" that attach it to the shock. Rust was causing the clip to "expand" and it put pressure around the rubber hose. I took all the left side apart before finding it though. Therefore, on the right side, I just opened the clip a bit without even disconnecting the hose.
