My SHO has developed a hard miss and runs a little rough , when it is cold. As I mentioned in an earier post, I have recently replaced the MAF and replaced the spark plugs with the Motorcraft plugs. Yes there was oil in the plug wells, I going to Autozone tomorrow to get the gasket kit. I decided to read the coeds again to see of any thing was storing a code that may indicate the problem.

Here are the results:

KOEO codes - 11s ( nothing wrong right now )
- 181 and 189 Right and Left banks adaptive fuel lean limit reached

I had this condition previously and the shop replaced a plugged fuel filter. Why do I still get the code ? According to the article, I should be able to clear the code by disconnecting the jumper and connecting it again , with the ignition on, after reading the codes. I did this and they are still there.

I ran the KOER test as well. Here are those codes:

521 PSPS Circuit did not change. Power steering Pressure Switch. What does that indicate ?
632 Not listed. That code is higher than my document goes. Any ideas ?

I ran the cylinder check part of the test too and got an all OK code of 9.

AutoZone does not keep the Fel-Pro VS50378R valve cover and plug well seal set in their stores. You may only be able to get them through AutoZone.com for $71.99. To clear the memory codes, you start the test then pull the jumper when the codes start to flash.

Here is a better site for the EEC testing.

The 521 and 632 codes (see the link above) show that you need to need a better explanation on how to perform the KOER test. No problem other than the test procedure.

521 indicates that during the test you either failed to cycle the steering whell or it did not register you did. 632 same thing but with the automatic overdrive switch. Run a search for the procedure to reset the computer/idel. SDPATT as posted it recently (yesterday), there are a few more thing to do other than unplug the batt. Where in SOCAL are you there are several of us down here. I'm in San Diego and would be willing top help you. I also have A code reading computer (not one of those cheap one's from wal-mart).

Scott you have to go into the store and give them the part # and they can get it from the wharehouse. My understanding is that they will no longer stock the item and as soon as there stock runs out they will nolonger be available. When I looked on autozone.com they did have them either.

Here's Scotts procedure to reset the computer.

Anytime the battery has been disconnected, you must reset the idle speed programming. Let's try the reset procedure again.

1) Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2) Turn on the headlight switch.
3) Wait at least 10 minutes.
4) Turn off headlight switch.
5) Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
6) Start engine normally (never press on the gas pedal).
7) Allow idle speed to settle for at least 15 seconds.
8) Within 70 seconds of starting the engine, apply all accessory loads the engine will see at idle. Do these concurrently.
8a) Climate control to MAX A/C.
8b) Headlight switch ON.
8c) Turn steering wheel 1/2 turn side to side.
8d) Press brake pedal.
8e) ATX SHOs only: shifter to DRIVE.
9) Do not turn off engine for at least 5 minutes.
10) It is preferable that the car be driven immediately after setting the idle programming.
11) While driving, allow the coolant temperature to rise to the normal range.
12) Run the car through its entire performance range.

My procedures, taken from ShoTimes.com did NOT say to move the wheel or use the OD button. It was taken from an older article. I'll download the ones you guys mentioned.
