Ordered (2) rod bearing kits, (2) Cooling Hose sets and (2) Clutchmasters Stage 3 Clutch kits - I rec'd the rod bearing kits and the cooling hoses, but I have not heard a peep from RCM Automotive about the Clutch kits. This was ordered November 12/07 and they do not respond to emails. I am out $1,099.98! I will never buy anything from RCM again. Beware of this company. Any person in Canada - try to buy in Canada. We have no recourse to go after them in USA. No more SHo's for me! I have 4 SHO's. There are no more reliable vendors left. All companies have been going out of business.

thats just ******** man.. dont go ripping on a SHO vendor that has been very respectable for many years.

Very respectable for many years? WTF? I have been on the Forum since 2000. He has not been around that long. And with the reputation of lack of communication after he gets your money I hardly see that as respectable. ******** is you telling this guy he wrong when he is out over a grand on an order he placed in November. Thats ******** on RCMs part. Also ******** is people preaching patience with this guy when he tells someone that he has something in stock, gets the money, doesn't ship, doesnt communicate, etc.

I am on the side of not seeing WHY anyone even orders form him. His prices are not lower than anywhere else. His communication is bad.

I'm wondering why you didn't order those from Josh, who's basically in our own backyard.

Thank you for making my point:

Take some time to read through all the old Hall of Fame/Shame threads about these vendors and see how people started out being thrilled with them, and as they started to falter how some people would defend them and tell everyone not to worry, and how eventually a whole lot of people got screwed. Even after many were exposed as thieves, people KEPT sending them money. :nut:

Also, I call ******** on you calling Zorlak's post ********. "Dont go ripping on a SHO vendor that has been very respectable for many years."??? He's telling HIS story about how HE was ripped off by RCM. That's what this section is for. If you don't like it, too bad. :squint:

-also before anyone orders from these vendors, you may want to check the reutation of the business by checking with the BetterBusinessBureau, the Consumer Protection Agency, and the FBI with their Internet Crime/Fraud Division. all can enlighten you to how that business has conducted business and show complaints/resolutions to you, and IF needed, forms to file......just a thought.

ordered my rod bearing kit, main seal, and other stuff, ordered and paid on a sunday, they arrived tuesday. I was in email contact with him prior though.

Great seller, and for the people out of the US, please do give them a bit of time.

Got the injector O-Ring kit the other day at last !

Still no word on the plug wires and valve tools yet.. but assuming he shipped them on the 26th and international priority mail takes 6-10 days as advertised I should have them no later than next weds.

I could have easily ordered the plug wires from rockauto and had them by now.. but I needed the valve tools and decided to combine the shipping AND help support one of the few SHO parts suppliers that are left!

I'm sure some people (including myself) won't mind waiting for their parts to an extent.. its just the waiting + lack of communication when your out hundreds or thousands of dollars that really tends to **** people off.. especially when your car is in pieces!!

I can understand a delay in communication if its a small business run by one person, but complete ignorance once payment is received is crap IMO.

will let you know if / when plug wires and valve tools arrive!

I dont see where he is one of the few SHO vendors? He sells you the same thing Rock Auto would. He likely buys his shit from them and then sends it to you. He offers nothing to the community and to lump him in with vendors who offer new and different products (SHOSource, SHONUT, NESHO) is an insult to those vendors.

Update on RCM Automotive: After writing many emails to RCM, without any response whatsoever from them, I then registered a complaint with PayPal and today I have been notified by PayPal that I will be receiving a credit. I have been charged 5% of the order amount. I also want to say that RCM Automotive stated that the reason for the credit was that the order was returned and not signed for. NO NOTICE OF ATTEMPTED DELIVERY WAS EVER LEFT BY ANY COURIER. It is interesting that the first part of the order was received with all customs documentation etc. I can tell you that no way was the balance of the shipment ever sent! I will never again take any chances with this company. We need a more reliable and honest SHO dealer out there. It is interesting that RCM Automotive replied to PayPal very promptly and not to me (the customer).

I also got a confirmation in my Email box....one from him, and one from paypal, with both orders I have got from him.

I also had to go pick my parts up from the post office since no one was home when the mail ran.....but I received the letter from my mail lady in my mail box to come get them...and there is also a disclaimer in the email I got that said the same thing.

RCM said:
If delivery is attempted when you are unavailable to sign for it, a
notice will be left either in with your regular mail or on your door
and you'll then either need to contact the post office to reschedule
delivery or pick up the package at the post office.
If more than 3 business days go by and you haven't received either
the package or a notice of attempted delivery, contact your local post
office with the number(s) above.
Make sure that the package is in good condition and that all items
are present and accounted for before signing for/accepting the package.

Sent him another email and he responded to this one!

He gave me a tracking number too. The order I paid for on the 16th was shipped march 6th, and is supposed to take 6-10 business days to get here so sometime next week I might get it.

Well, I had no choice but to file a dispute with PayPal over my oil pump order with RCM. Mark did not answer two emails sent a week apart. It has now been four weeks since he accepted my payment. He will probably wait the full 14 days before responding to the dispute, which would be in character. Needless to say, I am adding RCM to my list, which includes ShoShop and ShoBrosGarage. Hiding behind email after taking my money is insulting and disrespectful, not to mention unethical. Run it like a company you would want to do deal with or get out of the business! You take someone's money, the least you can do is return their emails.

From my research, RCM prices are the lowest. That's why I would order from them rather than running down to Napa. Seems like most of the problems are from orders North of the border, maybe there is something to the customs thing. I can understand the frustration from lack of communication, but I can understand not having the time to respond to all the emails when it gets busy too.
