Basically, after me and Mr. Z4 shut it down, I heard my car sounding like a rattling toy gun. I freaked and headed home, the sound was pretty constant, wouldn't change much with rpms, except quiet at idle. By the time I made it home, the SHO was quiet again. I parked it and haven't moved it since, until today. I desperately needed a ladder, so I figured I'd check to see if the SHO would run. Start her up, nothing out of the ordinary..ooh except a damn squirrel was under the hood. I sure hope I scared him outta there, if not, he's down there somewhere
anyways. Let it sit for a few, start rolling through 1st and reverse in the driveway. Nothing out of the ordinary. Rolled around the block, nothing. I then decided to ease it over to Home Depot, dropped some more cash in my home improvement weekend, then made it home....don't ask how I stuffed an 8' ladder in there, I just did. Anyways, I made it home ok, even doin a WOT run through 1st when I got near home. Nothings out of the ordinary. After spending a week in the lil Kia, the SHO feels tight in every aspect, I guess I really got used to that. But besides that...what would make a noise in my drivetrain that would disappear? I'm thinking something with the clutch literally got out of whack...then burnt up?
