The plastic is vibrating against the fron part of the moonroof area. Now I see what the tape the previous had put on was for. How do I take it off so I can add some sort of deadener?

He probably had the tape there because it is broken in some sort of a way. That is how mine came. To remove the console you need to pull out the lights...get a mini straight slot screw driver and gently put inbetweent the two lights and ease one out, then the other will follow. Above these lights are two phillips screws holding the molding on. Undo those, and the back is a bit tricky, you need to pull back the front (like it is on a hinge near the back) it should kinda pop outta place, and lower as far as the wires will let it. To install you simply put the two rear tabs above the two metal rear pieces on the roof and do the reverse. My console was broken beyond repair by the P.O. Ford wants 250$!!!!! for these. So, I went to my junk yard and picked up 2 for 5$. Bought some interior paint and it looks brand new. Any moon roof console out of any GenI or GenII Tauri...SHO or SLO will work. Hope this huge post helps you.

Thanks! It's just rattling. I need to add a slim strip of rubber betweern the plastic and the moonroof molding. I guess a could shove something between without taking it appart but I want to do it right.
