Ok tonight I had it happen and has happened a couple other times.

For a long time the car will start fine then one time it will not start at all. I noticed tonight though I can cycle the switch and listen to the pump, instead of the normal buzz it kinda gurgles or growls then I tried to start it and it started.

I was wandering could it be the fuel pump, I always thought a fuel pump messes up they will just quit?
Any ideas??????

I'm having the same problem with my '90. I have a factory manual, but can't find the "fuel return line check valve" - is it up on the rail, down at the tank, or somewhere inbetween? What started as an occasional PITA is becoming more regular and more of a headache. I did manage to rule out the battery and inertia valves yesterday, as mentioned in similar posts.

I was hoping my first post here would be a happier one. TIA!

When I did the pump on my 95 the 'check valve' is/was an orange duck call looking piece of rubber on the sending unit in the tank.
