random hard start/no start

randomly since getting my car back ive had a hard start on no start issue. i just changed the oil in the car also but i kept all oil off the starter when pulling the filter it will either crank very slow and come to life or act like the clutch pedal switch is not making contact, i checked the starter wires, batt cables, and most of the grounds i could find. tomorrow im going to load test the battery and alternator at work to see if thats the issue
is there anything else i need to check if those check out good or do i just need a starter ? the car has 142k on it and the starter looks original

finally tracked it down to corrosion in the pos cable to the starter
