I came across these on Ebay. What caught my interest was that the SHO in the pictures is the same color as my 2015. They looked good at first glance, but I am not sure if these rally stripes would become pretty lame after a short period of time if they were installed on my vehicle. Looking to get your opinions.
Thanks

I dunno.......how could this be pulled off? (Get away with it) black stripes? One strip? A side stripe?

I prefer a stripe with a pinstripe on the outer edges, and they should terminate in sight, not disappear at the bottom of the car at the front and back. And there is a ratio of stripe to body color on the flat surface that is satisfying . And colors matter, tone on tone is a nicer display.

So no, this one doesn't follow any of the rules. But that is not a wholesale dismissal of stripes, but stripes are more fitting on Mustangs (which actually had a stripe package from the factory), and smaller cars.

Luxury and stripes are hard to combine, but possibly can be done.

I added a side stripe to mine and really like the way it broke up the huge feel of the doors. But I'm not a fan of the hood or roof stripes

Do what u like. I've done this to mine. It certainly stands out. And I agree, an accent stripe is needed with wider stripes.

Yeah this is just one of those things that there is no good or bad, wrong or right. It's all perspective and its your car, if you like it, do it. Lol its like going to the barber/hair salon....its your hair...do whatever you want! Anything goes!

For the record I have the "let her go" haircut

Way too big - the rear end looks hideous! A boat like the SHO needs more subtle stuff, maybe smaller stripes or darker, like a charcoal or something.

Wish I had good photo editing skills, while I like the blue and white, I'm not sure about the hood stripes. I have been curious about what painting the lower plastic trim black with a black accent door stripe above it might look like.

I don't hate it but honestly like everyone else has said, if you like it do it and the **** with what anyone thinks. They didn't pay your car note.

1E52DD21 5FC8 4760 8B4A 5AD58E5CFB94 I had mine custom made to the exact spec of the 67 gt500. Every area has different width stripes with different gap. I thought id make mine a litte Eleanor.
It looks alittle funny in person with different widths but i wanted to match it as close as i could to the original
Plus im not sure on the material from Ebay but i had a custom decal shop do it and i think i paid 1200$ or somewhere to close to that and it took them maybe 4 hours one saturday morning. The material was pretty expensive i think, for it not to fade and be able to withstand the temperature changes of PA. I had the car Ceramic Coated later on in a special way that the stripes are like painted on. In a way you cant feel the edges. I probably cant remove them though unless i want it to be really bad looking
I got the Shelby stripe specs from Fords public CAD files, i found a not to good scale version online and posted also. Top picture is after ceramic coating when it kinda darkened the car. Only color of car i would have done it to, not a ricer lol. Just thought it may look the best on that Magnetic Metallic

So where do you find these rules about stripes?
