I have an issue with my 2013 SHO. Whenever it gets hot inside the vehicle the touch controls for temps and such stop responding until the vehicle interior cools down. If I were to replace that radio/temp control panel would I have to get it programmed to work with my car?

Replacing it wont make it any cooler inside the vehicle. Try a sunshade first. It helped my issues when i was running Mytouch

The heat is not the issue. There is a problem with the actual controller. It can be 75 degrees inside the car and it will act up. A sunshade won’t fix the problem.

I replaced the FCIM on my 2013 MKS and did not need to reprogram it. On my FCIM the IC for the capacitive touch driver Heat + button would would fail to work properly when the interior was warm. Exactly NOT when I needed the heat to increase on it's own.

Thank you. Mine is doing the opposite it is flipping the temp down and then also changing from auto to defrost and back again consistently. How difficult was it to swap?

I don't recall it being difficult to swap. I checked the service manual first to make sure I knew what all I needed to pull to get the FCIM off, and I think all the other pieces just unsnapped, then there were only a few screws and a couple of connectors for the FCIM.
