this is not a emergency issue , i didnt know where else to post?

ok , so my radiator has been leaking - i even tried a little can of radiator sealant (i didnt work) so im thinking i just need a new one. well i currently live in a small town and the local auto parts store told me it would be a month before they got one. however there are plenty of junk yards in my area , now my question is = would a regular taurus radiator fit? i got a 95 atx. or are there any ideas out there for a fix , or any radiators out there for sell? my current plan was to go to the junk yard and pull one out of a regular taurus , just not sure if it would bolt up? and by the way , im no longer in knoxville - just a small Tn town , hanging out with them duke boys

I'm pretty sure any Taurus ATX rad will work. I just changed my rad on my 89 with a rad from a 93 ATX SLO. Works fine and it only cost me $40. and the thing looked new.
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will pipe up and confirm this, but I think your good to go.

Yes, the regular taurus radiator will fit. The only issue you might run into is the trans cooler lines. The line inserts on a SLO radiator are smaller than the SHO one. You can find adapters or do what I did and eliminate the entire hard line sytem and just run 3/8" rubber trans cooler lines.

You can order a new one thru 1-800-Radiator for around $100.

You can order a radiator on line from plenty of web sites. Most will guarantee delivery within 1-2 days. Just Google "radiator" and you will find all sorts of stores. You should easily be able to have a radiator delivered within 24 hours or so, with just a bit of searching.

Almost all radiator manufacturers use a universal numbering system to identify their various models. The OEM radiator is normally a "192". For example, Godan manufactures our SHO radiator and their part number is "432192".

i would flush the system out also after the stop leak stuff... it causes havok on the cooling system
the real method to repairing the radiator is either plastic welder or if its on the metal part soldering
