I've noticed a very small leak around the under area of the coolant tank and where the lower hose clamps to the plastic coolant tank. Its gotta be microscopic because its taken me almost a month to go down an inch and there is a fine mist in that area. I think Pepboys filled up the tank too much, the car got hot, the relief valve couldnt sustain x amount of psi, and then presto....my car regurgitatied fresh green fluid that i never put in. What is the procedure for replacing that lower coolant line(S)?Whats the part number and can i use a giant turkey baster and bucket for this shingding? Thanks!

If it's the black top tank it's probably cracked on the bottom. It does not hurt to fill the tank completely full.

The hose is common to all GEN 3 & 4 Taurus. It connects to the lower radiator hose and that is where you should drain the system. Raise the car and put a 5 gallon bucket under the splice and take it apart.

YF1Z 8075-AA is the current Ford part number.

Thank you so much! i just found that exact diagnoses too. when i come back from Vietnam and Cambodia on the 30th i will add that tank to my list of SHO projects like brakes and such. by the way what are the best brakes for the v8? Im thinking along the lines of ceramic non-dusting brakes because my painted wheels have suffered enough from the brake dust.
