Well I was pretty darn sure I was doing an entire front 60k PLUS valve covers and plug well seals....I'm not! nyah nyah nyah! I used a mirror/flashlight to find the coolant leak, the engine was off so I was looking for residue or drips or something, there was some residue by the weep hole, I turned the engine on, from above it looked like the weep hole, from below it was harder to see, as I didnt' really have any equipment to get under there. Well today I jacked up the car, took off the wheel and the inner fender molding, and gave the lower radiator hose a good squeeze. It shat coolant directly onto the catalytic converter. Hmm. Take a look around the weep hole/waterpump area....NOTHING. Okay, start the engine up...look around the weep hole, waterpump...NOTHING....as the engine starts to warm up (cooling system becomes pressurized) the hose starts ******* on the cat, hmmm there's the source of smoke! it also dripped at idle, causing a puddle like the one I had found previously. The only thing unexplained is where the puddle behind (ish) the wheel, I can only guess it ran along something down there and dripped off a little back behind the shaft. Anyway, long story short the SHO gonna be back on the road after a trip to advance auto for the hose. Yay! Also I'm doing a coolant change and oil/filter while I'm at it.
