I'm removed my year old radiator with fan still attached from my 92 SHO. I want to pull out the radiator in my 93 SHO 3.2 ATX and swap. tha radiator looks the same but the electric fan assembly is different between the 2 cars. what's the reason for the difference? looks like the 93 ATX has 2 fans. could I just use the 92 single fan assembly? my 92 never ran hot at all. I don't think the needle ever hit the "R" or the "M", even with A/C on in 95 degree weather.

The ATXs went to two fans and have a high and a low speed. Your '92 has a single fan that runs at high speed. Your '92 PCM and CCRM are not equipped to run the two fans at low speed.

So use the single fan.
