Looking at Alldata - All the part alone without labor is - OEM - $1700 and listing approx 6+ hours labor - plus alignment. Sounds fairly on the mark.

My daily driver is my wife's old ScionTc it has 165k and the transmission went. Couldn't find a remanufactured - and the price is what they told me was a used one with 37k from somewhere in GA - that shipped in ran me $3100. I had an external oil cooler added - changed motor mounts and new master cylinder that was slowly failing $5k

The car is worth $2500kto a kid who wants it.

Prices are nuts...

I assume the mechanic disconnected a sensor or accidentally:

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the front lower air deflector.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. With a suitable tool (such as a flat-blade screwdriver), gently pry the retaining tabs to remove the active park assist sensor(s).
- Remove the active park assist sensor(s) from the front bumper cover.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

After installing the sensor(s), use the scan tool to verify that the active park assist sensor PIDs responding correctly. Carry out the Azimuth System Check See: Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems > Procedures > Azimuth System Check. If the parking aid sensor does not respond correctly, refer to Active Park Assist See: A L L Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC ) > Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions > DTC Charts in the Diagnosis and Testing.

I have Forscan however not home and can't check the PIDs. You will need to gets the DTCs
