I ordered a Sach's clutch kit from Rockauto and although the picture showed it with a quill sleeve it did not include one. The TOB is the smaller diameter one for use without a quill sleeve so I was just going to throw it together without one but now I'm thinking it might be a bad idea. For reference this is going on a '91 with 193k miles. Don't know how much is life is left in it anyways because I bought it with a bad clutch.

You need a quill sleeve and the correct TOB.

Most of your time/expense for a clutch job is labor. Do it with the correct parts.

If the picture shows it, contact Rockauto & tell them about the difference, & they will make it right. It should come with a spline shaft to center the clutch as well. I believe the quill and the larger TOB is called a rev B or something like that.
The problem with no quil sleeve is the original surface is aluminum and the small throw out bearing (TOB) can hang-up on this surface and ruin the clutch prematurely. You need all the luck you can get with these things so start with the latest generation parts.
