my fans(94 3.2 atx) dont seem to be coming on but when i run my codes and the car does its test the fans come on. if they come on for the test then they should be fine right.

No. During the test, the ECU commands the fans to come on. During normal operation the fans are commanded to come on (again by the ECU) after certain parameters are met, such as the AC control is turned to MAX AC or the ECT (engine coolant temperature) signals that the coolant temperature has reached (I think) 210 degrees F.

When the ECU sends the command, it doesn't send it to the fans, it sends it to the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module) which in turn supplies the actual current or ground (can't remember which). Steve (project SHO 89) would be THE guy to answer this question. He's my hero.
