Hey,

I was in the process of replacing the thermostat and while trying to remove the pipe I disconnected a wire - only problem is I have no clue where it went originally.

It's a thin wire encased in a mesh-like heat shield. The connector itself is rubber and looks like an aux input, only smaller. (can't explain that better)

The wire is labled "YM-424" . It runs over the pipe coming out of the engine where the thermostat is, if I recall correctly.

Any help would be appreciated. Losing day light and need the car for work tomorrow. =(

I just looked @ my 1994 ATX and the wire you may be talking about plugs in to a senser ,left side a little below the thermostat housing ! Runs above the thermostat pipe like you said

that would be the wire for the idiot gauge for coolant temp. You woulda figured it out pretty quick what it was when your coolant gauge stopped working!
