this is how i do it, and have done it on 30 plus cars

7) Now go for a drive, and i mean a heck of a one. You should hit high revs 6k max is good and do a lot of stop and go's. you should do this till it stops smoking

I hope your not serious:nut: and only if you live somewhere you can guarantee you will be the only one on the road you should never go for a drive. not trying to be a ***** but that is terrible advice

I run seafoam through my intake and in my gas tank on the SHO and all of our cars for that matter. I put Auto-RX in my oil and noticed I had a damn clean engine when I swapped my cam (not sure if it was b/c of the Auto-RX or if it was clean anyway).

I love seafoam and it says it's safe in the crankcase; however, on an old SHO engine, I would be leery to use it. Seems like the solvents would dislodge sludge (doing it's job) but then you have that loose crap floating through your engine--possibly clogging oil passages. Be safe and spend the 30 bucks or whatever for Auto-RX. It's designed to break down that stuff and safely dissolve it without having chunks of gunk floating through your engine.

As for the intake and gas tank, go for it. My SHO runs a LOT better after I use it, blows out smoke every time I clean it and I drive it very little.

Never run anything in a quaility oil unles its a pre-OCI flush and in there for a very short period say 10 minutes to 100 mi depending.

Why whould anyone in there right mind dilute a perfectly good quality synthetic oil with a foreign substance.

Running the synthetics oils are the best thing for cleaning & keeping things clean.
