I have the Foglight mod and I noticed that at night with just the foglights on, they do jackcrap for lighting up the road. I know that they point upwards a little, but I even broke the bracket so I could point them down towards the road and still nothing. I do have halogen bulbs in my fogs, but I think they are just for looks. Perhaps if I cleaned the lens, the light would be more efficent. What do you guys think?

Here's a shot of my white sho compared to Martin (fordlovers) stock fog lamps. These are the ones that I purchsed off of ebay. They are made by blazer and can be gotten for about $20. BIG DIFFERENCE! and they fit the stock sho openings. Maybe someone can give us info on where to get 'em. I lost my connection info from the guy who sells them.

Be prepared to get flashed the brights numerous times a day if you go with the blazertechs.... I let my buddy drive my 93 the other day & I was in front of him in his 93 & oh my god were they bright :D I love em though but if you do the install make sure you do it right. The price is right just as Jeremy said & you will be much more happy than you were with stock.

Varney,
The key is in the installation to angle the foglamps downwards in the factory housings. A good grind wheel and elbow grease will help in this endeavor. Any questions ask me.

The factory fog lights in the gen II are a joke. they are decorations only. When they were new they might have been better, but I've noticed on both of my cars the reflective material inside the housing comes off very easily, don't wash the insides, it will only make them worse.
Atleast the gen I's you could install a brighter light because the lens is glass. The gen II setup can barely handle the stock bulb.
Both the back up lamps and the cornering lamps on the Gen II put out more light than the fog lamps

They look more like driving lights than fog lights. Fog lights give a broad beam and driving lights give you a long and narrow beam.

I thought that fog lights only helped you see better in the fog? (Hence the name FOG lights) Driving lights are supposed to illuminate the road better in normal conditions, but they are more blinding in foggy or snowy conditions because of reflection.

I upgraded my factory fog lamps to PIAA XT1500 driving lamps with clear lenses. I aim them low to cut down on the glare. They work great.
