Anybody besides mercoolgar take apart a clutch quadrant, clean it and have it work better?
My new clutch/tranny job is working better now that I have about 500 miles on it but still not a smooth shift. Seems to work smoother after it has run for about 1/2 hour. Also shifts better if I shift quickly from one gear to another.
I'm running Mobil 1 in the tranny that has 2 new syncros and 2 new non-fiber blocking rings.

Yes adjusted the clutch. First adjustment after install wouldn't produce a disengage. Needed to get 5 manual clicks before clutch would disengage. Then released the cable tension and reset it several times. At first I was losing tension when I would lift up on pedal. Now it doesn't seem to lose that tension and pedal stays adjusted at this level. Sometimes in the cold morning It is difficult to get out of gear before starting car. Pump the clutch a few times and run it through the gears and it seems OK.
