I just had my PTU Fluid changed. I purchased my 2014 PP SHO used with 80,000 miles. I was reading these forums, and was concerned. I found a good mechanic, to change it for me, its about a two hour job. Not that difficult if you have all the tools and a lift. Lift car and turn wheels full lock to drivers side. You have to remove the catalytic convertor to do the change. I watched the whole process, should have taken pics. This was his first PTU oil change for a Taurus, he used his computer and got instructions from Ford and looked at a couple of Youtube videos. All in under 2 hours. $140, worth it to me. And for the record the oil flowed out easily, 12 ounces. It was dark, a little metal shavings, but not sludge. So now I will change again at 15-20k since I did not see any issues, and not to overspend on changes.
