ebay doesn’t have it any more. PN# is good.
The original metal top hat vent with rubber duck bill valve gets glued shut and clogged causing positive pressure in the PTU when it gets hot and then it belches oil out the side main seals. This mod prevents that and has a felt disk vent at a distance away from all the sloshing.
Plus, can use a funnel and the line as a fill line after you drain the PTU on a regular basis.

A p.t.u. failure is not going to cause the engine to run rough. In going to also say with 90% certainty it will not cause a check engine light. A wrench light, maybe if you have a Perf. PKG.

Apparently they are ordering a fuel injector and hopefully that will fix it. We will see.

Today I replaced my stock PTU vent hose with an extended version. Life is SOOOOOO much simpler now! Changing the PTU gear oil will be a piece of cake from now on, even though a little time consuming.

Replacing the hose was actually a lot more straight forward than I expected. Letting the gear oil go through the hose definitely took some time, but I used a MixMizer and it worked out great.

This will now be a yearly job that I will no longer dread having to do. It will give me the piece of mind not having to worry about the PTU anymore. I just wish I would have done it a few years ago before paying hundreds of dollars to service shops to complete.

I went to my local Menard's and bought 3' of Gates fuel line hose, 5/16" ID. Get a good quality hose. The cheaper ones aren't very flexible, and you need that so that it can be as straight as possible going up to the top of the engine compartment. I also bought an appropriately sized worm clamp to put around the bottom of the hose onto the vent ****** just in case.

Sorry. My mistake. It wasn't Menard's where I bought the Gate's hose. They had the cheaper stuff I had purchased for another project. It was NAPA that had Gate's.

3' of hose to start is good to get it routed like you want, then you can cut it to whatever length you desire.

My 2014pp has made a slight whining noise since ive had it but only really until the car is warmed up. Annoying because by the time i got to dealership to have them assess it, the damn car wouldn't do it. I always wondered if it was possibly the ptu as car had 47k on it when i bought. Has 88k now and ive never changed ptu fluid.

It is very posible that the P.T.U. is making the noise, but also posible something else is.
