Wonder how much extra money it would cost to enable some different ratios to be had with those replaceable gears. I realize that the stock ratios are great for the SHOs torque curve but not very good for 1/4 guys who insist on saying a 14.5 @ 900 mph is respectable :nut:

It wouldn't cost any extra. The only problem is that everyone will get the same ratio, and some people might not like that specific ratio. Thats why they will be a stock ratio. which actually works really good with our cars for all around.

Very cool. I need a new tranny and I like the idea of having reliablilty. PLus having plenty of room to upgrade is nice

Money wise......... Is it going to be a deposit then the rest when it made and ready to ship??? 5k upfront is alot of money but I may be able to spread it out over 2 months or so if it takes that long to have them made.......

Any warranty or garuantee to not break due to power, TQ, ect???

Too early to tell. Depends on how much interest there is. 10 will be made.
sign up when I start the group buy so you won't be left out. 1st 10 people are guaranteed to get theirs.

How long do I have to get 5K together?

$2500 deposit before they are started (once 10 people commit), takes about 8-10 weeks to be made, which gives you a little over two months to get the other $2500 together. That's the way I understand it at least.

Well, I want to get this group buy started but have not gotten a response from bizzy.

We need 10 people to get started.

So far:

1) Texantony
2) ShoMurph
3) 40belowsummer
4) 89shoman666
5) Showya
6) Toolman
7) Jc
8)shomethe$$$
9)Ocnaj
10)

Anybody else speak up and I will add you to the list.

A little update:

Only 3rd and 4th gear will be removable (for cost wise)
Spline shaft will be thicker and all 1-4 gears will be thicker, wider, stronger.

Once 10 people commit I will ask for a 50% deposit so the Company can get started. It will take them 8 to 10 weeks to complete. Once completed I will ask for the other 50% before shipping them out. There will be NO REFUNDS on the deposit. Once you commit you are in.

PM me it yall have any more questions.:thankyou:

There's no way I could afford these, but dang, that's nice. Also, since you mentioned that you will be using the stock gear ratios, what about just a slightly taller 5th gear only to bring the rpm's down for highway cruising? 5th is never used to race in anyway, and seeing 2k rpms on the freeway would be a great way to save some money on fuel. I dunno. Just an idea.

You'd be amazed how much of 5th you can use when properly powered .

5th is already very tall already. The SHO motor doesn't have a ton of torque down low and at any legal speed, you're likely to find the best gas mileage around 3k RPM in 5th (that's about 80mph).

I'd like to be put down on the list. When will the first payment be due? I gotta sell some more parts to come up with the money.

Peter, first payment will be as soon as 10 people are on the list. Do you want me to put you on the list?

I will make an official group buy in the group buy section tonight.

^QFT, I got 36 cruising at 75-80 vs 34 driving at 55-60 (verified on SAME gas pump for the nay-sayers, I rechecked).
