I have a 2011 sho that just started making a whining noise while acceleration and deceleration. I tried to add the video but it says it's to large. It's 39 seconds frfrom. Please any help would be awesome. I've already put to much money in this car but I do love it. Thanks

Might be the torque converter. What’s your mileage?
645000 on new transmission from Ford place. I checked fluid in it and it didn't even show so I went and got some but I used almost two whole quarts for it to her to proper level. I parked it on cardboard and it isn't leaking it drove car after putting fluid in and it was still making some noise but when I drove it to work today no noise at all.. so happy. Hope this fixed it. But where would that fluid have gone? Thanks for replying Terra

Exactly what my boyfriend said 100%. Thank you for your reply. I do have another question if you might know the answer it would be great. I have push button start on my car and keyless entry pad but I swear when I got this car when you approached the doors ( it possibly when you grabbed handle) the door unlocked without pushing key in fob and locked itself when walking away. Is this any thing you have heard of or was this on one of my other cars. ( I swear I think it was this one lol)

With what you have posted I would change ALL fluids right now. The low fluid in the transmission might be only the beginning of future problems.

There is a sensor in the door handle, if you have your key fob on you it will automatically unlock the door when you grab the handle. I'm not sure how you change the settings or disable it on a 2011.

So are you talking about a to total flush ? Or a drain and fill? I'm pretty sure , with my luck it's a total flush...ugh

Most of us here do the 5 out 5 in method on the transmission. Do that two or three times in a couple of weeks or a month depending on how much you drive and you will have mostly new fluid. I would at least do it once and see what the fluid that comes out looks like.

Thank you so much for your help. It isn't my everyday driver but I usually always take it out on the weekend at least. I don't know if I will have time to do it this wth weekend but next for sure. I'll leave her right where she's sitting till I do. Would it be OK to message you back after the fluid change and let you know what I find?

Yep. Just respond here and post pictures of your fluid. It should be red. If it's brown or black, the fluid is burnt or oxidized. You definitely want to drain/fill a couple of times if that's the case just to be on the safe side. If it's still red you are probably alright.
